Make It Messy

For lots of reasons we tend to delay difficult things until the very last minute or indefinitely. This usually equates to some kind of fear. It’s an odd thing, but fear of what others may think is probably at the top of the list. You could also call this perfectionism. Perfectionism is truly a horrible thing since it paralyzes you when you need to move quickly and decisively. The solution is action. Action, of course, means you need to push through fear and do it anyway.

I can definitely get stuck in perfectionism myself. There are lots of times that I have refused to put myself out there since I needed things to be great. Had I just started, I would at least see some results. This blog is a great example of something that I waited too long to take on. I thought that I didn’t have enough to share or that I wasn’t practiced enough in my writing. I finally just got started and committed to writing everyday in 2024. At times, it’s messy and unorganized (to my standards) but it is in motion everyday. The needle is moving and I’m improving.

Do you have a brilliant idea or have something that you always wanted to do but keep delaying? Post in the comments and we can hash it out…
