Zoom Out

Deep focus is a gift that allows us tackle problems and come at issues with creative and efficient ways. We can use critical thinking to create vaccines, cars, rockets, anything we put our minds to… Although, with our huge brains and intelligence, we seem to mess up the most fundamental parts of our lives when we use all of that brain power to focus on things that aren’t important or relevant. For example, if you focus on how bad your life is, your brain will find all of the evidence you need to prove the point to you. If you focus so much on the problem and not the solution, you will be stuck in the negative emotions and your woes.

When you feel lost or feel negatively drained, the solution is to zoom out really far and do a quick comparison of your current situation with lots of fresh perspective. Facing your assumptions / perspective head on will offer you a clear vision into your life (or at least let you know that you are blessed everyday). And, knowing who you are and living the life of being yourself is the game.
