Better Questions

I have been reading Ed Mylett’s book, The Power of One More, lately and it brought up something that I have been doing lately. Ed says, “Better questions lead to better answers. Better answers lead to a better life.” This is a great way to check in with yourself to see where your limits are in life.

Many of my questions lately have started with “what if?”

  • What if I can be more than what I am now?
  • What if I can accelerate my path to enlightenment?
  • What if I could remove the limits I place on myself?
  • What if I can change my family tree for greatness?

Then, I ask myself “how” questions:

  • How can I be a better [husband/father/friend]?
  • How can I get over being ungrateful in this moment?
  • How can I be non-reactive to this situation?

The list goes on.

It is an amazing thing to ask yourself empowering questions instead of belittling questions. This keeps your inner dialogue working for you and not against you.

Be gentle with yourself this weekend and enjoy your time on earth while you are still breathing.
