Mindful Routines

Yesterday I wrote about the negatives of routines. Today I want to clear the air.

Routines are great for living efficiently. I have a routine that gets me out of bed, into my car, and to the gym in the mornings. I have a daily routine of meditating, reading, walking, brushing my teeth, etc. The list goes on and on.

We have to remember to be mindful while we are in the flow of a routine. For example, while in your commute to and from work, you can get so lost in your programmed actions and thoughts that you never really remember how you got to your desk. Just simply pay attention to what you are doing as much as possible throughout your day.
